NADD’s mission is to promote leadership in the expansion of knowledge, training, policy, and advocacy for mental health practices that promote quality of life for individuals with dual diagnosis (IDD/MI) in their communities.
TASH is an international leader in disability advocacy. Founded in 1975, TASH advocates for human rights and inclusion for people with significant disabilities and support needs – those most vulnerable to segregation, abuse, neglect, and institutionalization. TASH works to advance inclusive communities through advocacy, research, professional development, policy, and information and resources for parents, families, and self-advocates.

IDDs are differences that are usually present at birth and that uniquely affect the trajectory of the individual’s physical, intellectual, and/or emotional development. Many of these conditions affect multiple body parts or systems.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community
ASHA support speech and language therapies for intellectuals disability (ID) and associated communication difficulties across the life span.
Our Goal is to provide the tools to improve the Social, Communication and the Life Skills needed through shaping strategies and positive reinforcement and promote independence in all areas of life.
