Communication A to Z is owned and directed by Carla Walden MS, PT, ATS, BCBA, and our group of highly experienced associates. Ms. Walden is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who began her career as a Psychiatric Technician working on the floor with individuals within the state developmental system.
With over 35 years of experience, with specialties in autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and communicative disorders. She is certified to work with individuals who may be dually diagnosed, have forensic issues, are on diversion plans, or on probation. Ms. Walden works with courts, probation officers, specialized facilities, and transitional teams, moving clients into the community from state developmental centers into community placement. She brings a fresh look and a wealth of knowledge to address your concerns and needs. She believes you have to step outside the box sometimes to really see what the answers are.

Communication A to Z started from a simple premise; to provide new approaches and strategies for individuals with autism, and intellectual/developmental disabilities. We believe that every person has the right to have the same opportunities regardless of their disability. Our goal is to help families, schools, day programs, and residential facilities provide the best services and support to the people in their care. No one person is the same and should not be treated as the same. Sometimes you need to think outside the box to find what works. With over forty years of experience, we bring a wealth of knowledge.
Our staff at communication A to Z work with individuals who may be dually diagnosed, with challenging behaviors, forensic issues, and all levels of autism and intellectual disabilities. By identifying individuals’ needs and working to promote positive outcomes, we can place challenging behaviors on extinction. Communication A to Z works with school districts to aid their students in accessing the school curriculum. We work with families and residential facilities to support them with the people in their care as they move through their lives to better communicate, improve coping skills, and learn daily living skills to become more independent.
